A-ONE
JIM DANDY -13936- [US173140]
"Simply beautiful foal.
Laid back shoulder, neck set on impeccably, good large eye,
and with that chiseled head at this young age, he is going
to be gorgeous when he is older. Nicely proportioned too;
1/3 neck, rump and deep shoulder equal with nice tail set.
Congratulations." Comment by Kathleen Ellen Wentworth.
Thank you Kathy, we couldn't have said it better.
Jim was special right
from the start and nothing about him has changed our mind
from deciding to keep him intact. He is a dark liver/chocolate
chestnut with no white. This horse is no "Barbie Doll" stallion
... he's all boy, but at the same time, very mindful and
obedient. He is broke to saddle. His first foals of 2006
were born in Delta Junction, Alaska, Grande Prairie, Alberta
and at Brooks, Alberta, A-One Tina Turner. We have since
had three more fillies sired by A-One Jim Dandy and we've
decided to retain them all as the next step in our breeding
program.
After seeing Jim in February
2005, Arnold McKee finally agreed to lease Duplicate Lady
Hawk to breed to Jim. We have been trying to lease Lady
Hawk from him for six years. LadyHawk is back on the range
at Oyen, Alberta. She gave us two lovely fillies sired by
A-One Jim Dandy, A-One Tina Turner and A-One Vanity Fair.
The third foal from this cross is a colt, A-One Duplicate
Eagle. Eagle was named in honour of Arnold McKee and his
contribution to the Western Working Morgan Horse. A-One
Duplicate Eagle has been retained by Butte Morgans of Picture
Butte, Alberta as a potential herd sire.
